Well for a day that started with thunder and lightning at 7am it was looking more likely that we would cancel the event for safety reasons (lightning) rather than hold a great event in good conditions. Yet we ended up having a good day with high water, 350mm on the Gardiner water metre and not bad conditions.
50 paddlers on the race and a good turnout of supporters.
Fastest on the day was Luke Dooley in his K1.

There were lots of great prizes and everyone who entered got at least one prize and most people two prizes.
