Last Club paddle of the year. Tonight’s Christmas race was a novelty 4 person team event. Paddlers were teamed up and the race was to see who could beat the’re 3 week average by the most. Tonight’s winning team was Steve and Cindy Coward in a K2, Simone Burge, Peter Burge and Joe Wilson who each received a movie voucher. Best hat prize went to Jerry Alderson who also picked up a movie voucher. Tonight’s photo shows club member and recently nominated club hydrologist David Gardiner presenting the winners with movie vouchers. Tonight’s official water level at race start was high at 0.93m, a big thank you to David Gardiner for introducing some needed rigour into our water measurements now and into in the future.
